PLANNNING YOUR VISIT TO THE CILWENDEG SHELL HOUSE HERMITAGE:

The Cilwendeg Shell House Hermitage is located on the Cilwendeg estate near Boncath in Pembrokeshire SA37 0EW. Access is off the B4332 just east of the village of Boncath.
The Shell House Hermitage is available to visit by pre-booking online via this website (please see the visitor booking information below). Visits will be on available days of the week between March 1st and December 31st during the hours 9am to 6pm. There is a car park for visitors accessible to cars only. From the car park there is a well marked six minute walk to the Shell House on reasonably level ground. On rainy days you are advised to bring your wellies and a torch!

Site facilities: there are presently no toilets on site and no food or drink vendor. However, there are two excellent pub/restaurants near Cilwendeg including: 

The Nags Head at Abercych www.nagsheadabercych.co.uk and 

The Ffynnone Arms at Newchapel www.ffynnonearms.co.uk 

Other nearby attractions/activities include:  Cenarth Falls, Cilgerran Castle, and the magnificent Picton Castle and Garden near Haverfordwest www.pictoncastle.co.uk

Admission to the Cilwendeg Shell House Hermitage is paid online in advance of your visit as follows:

Adults: £5

Seniors (over 60): £4

Under 18: £2

An additional ‘History’ download is an available option to buy for £2 once you have received your Booking Confirmation
